I love this Dizzyland Place!

Well it was my first trip to California and I’d say it went pretty good- unlike my first trip to Idaho. Our first night there was pretty uneventful as Mommy and Me just stayed in Hollywood at Phil’s Apt and watched TV and went to bed early while daddy and Uncle Phil went to the bachelor party at Dave and Busters. Daddy played that stupid chip dropping game and was always foiled when he thought he should do better. He also excelled at Trivia and won a bunch of tickets taking out Phil and his dad. But in the end we have like 2000 tickets total that mommy is making us save up for some reason. We got back kinda late and then Phil wanted Daddy to watch a movie and drink root beer with him. He was down with the movie even though exhausted and even drank the root beer. Phil must be really special! Daddy won't even drink root beer for mommy. After that Daddy finally went to bed after almost stepping on me trying to get in bed.

On Friday we had the whole day together as a family. Sort of. Saturday we went to have the Paraguayan favorite Milanesa at a Kosher restaurant in Hollywood, which Mommy did not enjoy, but they had good pickles. We went to Ross briefly after that because daddy forgot to bring a shirt she asked for twice down from the mountain for her, but Mommy was not satisfied with the selection and noticeably perturbed that we were making her leave. We ended up hanging at the Bladhs for awhile before the rehearsal. I got to go into another church that had statues and candles- it was kind of strange. But I was a good boy inside the church just sleeping. Daddy walked and held hands with another girl and mommy was ok with it. Then we all went to a fancy italina restaurant- its times like these when I wish I could eat big people food, though grandma tries to smuggle me the occasional fry. Daddy had a good ravioli/spaghetti meal that of course Mommy stole some of. I agree with Daddy, stealing something off someone elses plate without being asked is theft. Everyone from the Bladh family agrees. Then Daddy had some Spumoni which no one wanted to steal. Mommy ate some of everyones ice cream. I just slept mostly. Then we went home and went to bed.

Oh yeah forgot to mention the tuxedo fiasco. Apparently it’s a mom and pop shop that was renting the tuxes so we were going to go pick them up but they were closed. Phone inquiries went unanswered. Phil was getting more and more calm, which for a regular person is like getting madder and madder. Just as we were about to go find something else, they called and were open. They offered up the simple explanation that they had another job they were at. No further explanation no apologies. Then they charged us more for the suits. Then the place was ghetto, and didn’t take credit cards. They didn’t listen when asked questions and straight up ignored Daddy sometimes. Not good. Not to mention the suits were noticeably used. Plus daddy's suit was too big for him. Ghetto. But it all worked out.

Saturday was the wedding itself. Daddy was in his tux and so was I and here is a cute picture of us in our suits. Snazzy!

It seemed like a bad idea for me to cry in this strange new church so I went on the down low and tried to keep quiet. Mommy was sitting by herself cuz daddy was practically hugging another lady in the church and walking with her. Everyone seemed ok with it so I was too.
Later mommy dropped our camera and it looked like it was broken. And there was an incident with limo. Apparently when the limo arrived it smelled like varmint or something like that, I didn’t hear good, so they sent it back so mommy had to drive to the reception by herself. She got lost and that made her mad. But once she got some food into her tummy and daddy fixed the camera she was a little less grumpy and we even had fun. We also generated some great ideas for our family’s upcoming nuptials- a candy buffet of their favorite candies and to have April be the photographer. We are geniuses! Later on I did some dancing, and Daddy made everybody laugh when he talked into a microphone. Daddy is funny.

After awhile we were tired again (still?) so we went home and went to bed. Phil stopped by to change clothes and the was off to his honey moon. Does this mean he’s going into space? No one would tell me. I decided to be a good boy and sleep all night because daddy told me we were going somewhere special on Sunday- and it wasn’t church.

This place was better than church. When we were driving to Dizzyland or whatever its called, we were driving on a road when all of a sudden, for no reason, and being completely unprovoked mommy swerved the car and zigzagged all over the freeway and made us miss our exit. Having a perfect view of the road from my rear facing car seat, I can vouch that she made this up. She claims there was a ladder on the road, but ladders are used for painting not driving. Anyway we got reoriented thanks to Daddy’s expert navigational skillz and we were arriving at this place- Dizzyland where there are many many people and also some babies like me.

It was amazing! There were bright lights, things moving, people laughing. It is the best place I’ve ever been! I really wanted to be a good boy here so mommy and Daddy bring me back frequently. Here is the list of rides we went on:

Nemo
Space mountain
Pirates of the Caribbean
Haunted Mansion
Indy
Mickey the Small cheese’s House
Bread Factory
Tortilla Factory
Mr Toad
Pinocchio
Alice in Wonderland
Monsters Inc
Animation building
Tower of Terror
Soarin
Splash
Indy
Buzz
Nemo

Of all these my favorite was Monsters Inc, that really made me wiggle! Plus Grandma has a little baby like me of the girl in the pink shirt. And I liked Nemo. The one daddy liked was “just a little too scary for me.” It was weird because sometimes I would stay with just Mommy or just Daddy and the other would leave for awhile and then come back and they’d switch. I don’t know why they couldn’t just take me with them. They have baskets and holders for stuff and I would easily fit. I liked meeting this guy Mickey mouse too. He had a fun house and I would like to live there. I giggled when I saw him and we got a picture with him. Mommy took lots of pictures. This guy Mickey is my friend.

We walked across a big peopled area and went to another amazing place. There was lots of cheerleaders and mommy kept saying how crowded it was. Even the “dumb worm ride” was a 35 minute wait. Too crowded. So then we went to a place where a dog said “Maseca” and we got some food. Mommy gave me a tortilla to suck on but then she stole it back and made me cry. She is an Indian Giver. But we had some soup on the pier and we went back to Disneyland.

Later we were trying to make our way out of the park to visit mommy’s friend from college but they told us to take a short cut up main street- we went behind these doors and we were behind mainstreet and backstage. It was really weird being backstage mainstreet because I’ve been to DL on the most crowded summer day on Christmas and they’ve never diverted us backstage before. Purists would say it was bad show, but it was interesting to go back and see the break room, and the garbage dumps, right behind mainstreet. What will they say on Laughing place?

We then hung out with Mary for a little while where my friend Natalie and our daddys looked less then thrilled to be there but Mommy wanted it so we went and did it. We then rode more rides until very very late. When I thought we were leaving we did some shopping and got something for grandma and a sticky man to put on mommys car next to me and mommy.

That was our long day at Disneyland. It was way fun and I can’t wait until December when we go to Disneyworld! It will be extra fun because Mommy and daddy will have help and won’t have to ride things by themselves. I didn’t want trouble so I slept all night long that night cuz mommy and daddy looked very tired.

Monday we didn’t do much cuz we were so tired but we did have time for an In-N-Out Burger which mommy doesn’t like, but she is very picky. I saw mommy turn down bread on this trip which shocked me! Daddy too! She says she has never liked rye bread but I think she made that up.

So that was my trip to Disneyland! It was fun and we have many memories and photos that we’d like to show to you. I can’t wait to go back! Also want to thank all of you who voted, it was an important victory!
