My First Christmas was great!!! My uncle Ben and Aunt Jenni flew out from Indiana to see me. They both loved me tons and gave me plenty of attention. Uncle Ben even changed my poopy diaper for me. I was super nice and decided not to pee in his face. Jenni is going to have a girl cousin in May and I'm excited to have a new playmate.
Christmas Eve was a big day for me. My mommy's maternity leave was over and she had to leave me all day for the first time and go to work. Luckily my daddy didn't have to go to work so I got to spend the whole day with him. We played all morning then Aunt Diana, William and daddy all drove up with me to Colorado Springs to see the Allreds. As soon as I got there Holly, Brielle, Carissa and Stacey all started to fight over me. It's great to be in such high demand. Grandma & Grandpa Hendrickson and Ben and Jenni came up not long after us. After forever my mommy was able to leave work and came to see me. I really missed her tons!! Grandma & Grandpa Buck came about the same time as my mommy. We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed games and visiting. Then we finally got to open our Christmas Eve presents. We all got new PJ's. Mine were super cute with snowman, daddy got superman and mommy got sock monkeys. Since it was my first Christmas and I'm everyone's favorite I was really lucky and got to open two presents on Christmas Eve. My second present was the book "The Night Before Christmas" and a sock monkey that Grandma Buck made me. Daddy read the story to everyone and I bonded with my monkey by giving him lots of kisses and chewing on his ears. Afterwards we went back to Grandma Hendrickson's to sleep because that's where my mommy told Santa I would be. I slept really well considering I was super excited for my first visit from Santa.
On Christmas morning we all slept in. When I was finally able to drag my daddy out of bed to take me downstairs I was excited to see that Santa didn‘t forget to visit me. I was also surprised that we had a big snowstorm. It usually never snows for Christmas. I got to open my sock while I waited for everyone else to get up. Of course my mommy was the last one up and we had to drag her out of bed. Finally the time had come for me to open my presents. I got some cute new clothes, new toys, and some books for my mommy and daddy to read to me. My mommy and daddy got new hymn books in Portuguese for mommy and Spanish for daddy. Now they can sing without forgetting the words. Daddy got the Spanish hymn on CD and I got the children’s Hymn in Spanish on CD so I can learn them and sing along with daddy. After we opened presents Grandma Hendrickson made Aebleskivers which are Danish pancakes balls. They are one of mommy’s very favorite things to eat.
When we finished eating daddy, mommy and I went to Grandma and Grandpa Bucks for even more yummy food. Then we started to open more presents. Let me tell you that Santa guy is amazing!!! Somehow he knew I was going to Grandma Bucks house and left some of my presents there as well. I got some really cute Mickey Mouse shirts, sweaters and even a tie. I think my daddy was more excited about the tie than I was but I’ve been wearing it to church and everyone says I’m super cute in it so I guess it’s ok to wear. There were so many presents that we took a break part way so Grandma Buck to get her favorite present. She got to call my uncle Zach in Mexico. He is serving a mission and has been gone longer then it took my mommy to grow me and all of my life. I will get to meet him in October when he gets home. My daddy is trying to teach me Spanish before he gets back so us boys can talk to each other without everyone knowing what we are saying. Anyway I talked to Zach for a few minutes then took a nap while everyone else talked to Zach. He is doing great and was having a hard time speaking English so that must mean his Spanish is really good. After my nap and talking to Zach we finished opening presents. I got more fun toys and some more books. Hopefully I’m like my mommy and love to read, read, read.
We drove back to Grandma Hendrickson’s house that night so mommy and daddy could go to bed because they both had to go to work the next day. It was a great day and I can’t wait for next year. Check out all the cute pictures.
